And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
River throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kindzal looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? River is fending him off so far but Kindzal persists. Nope, River circles away and we're back to standing.
Kindzal shoots in and bounces River off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kindzal slips nicely into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kindzal throwing shots but River is blocking nicely.

Kindzal in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. River tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kindzal!
