Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Beltran (ranked 1965 p4p, 0 weight class) and Castor Rollins (ranked 2668 p4p, 0 weight class). Rollins comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ulfheonar kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Beltran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
43 - 32 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Castor Rollins! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beltran looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rollins is trying to maintain the position but Beltran is very close to passing his half guard. Rollins holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Rollins is looking for a sweep. Beltran is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rollins blocking the ground and pound attempt from Beltran. Rollins is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beltran gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's one minute gone in the round. Rollins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rollins wants it to stay on the feet. Castor Rollins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Beltran shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rollins counters with a nice leg kick. Beltran throws a head kick but Rollins moves out of range.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Beltran. Rollins manages to work his way to half guard, despite Beltran's best efforts. Rollins preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Rollins is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Rollins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Rollins is trying to control the position but Beltran postures up. Rollins lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Rollins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Beltran will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Rollins with a flurry of punches that miss. Rollins throws an elbow that misses. Beltran uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rollins's guard. Nice move by Beltran! Rollins wants to sweep here but Beltran controlling him for the moment.

Rollins looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Beltran puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Rollins is trying to get back to full guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rollins is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Beltran preventing the sweep. Beltran missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Beltran tries to free his leg and advance position but Rollins is retaining full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Rollins is adopting a defensive guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Beltran dives in for a single leg takedown but Rollins sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Beltran. That's going to take a lot out of him. Beltran misses with an attempted mid kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rollins lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Beltran shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Beltran was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beltran working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rollins thumps Beltran with a low kick. Beltran throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Beltran gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rollins. Beltran has his takedown stuffed and Rollins counters with a right hand to the body. Rollins blocks a jab. Rollins moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Beltran throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Beltran doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rollins counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Rollins misses with a double jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rollins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Beltran takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Beltran fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rollins has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rollins displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Beltran doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rollins holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Beltran. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rollins is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Beltran is defending well. Beltran is working for takedown but Rollins is calmly controlling the position for now. Beltran prevents a takedown attempt there.
Beltran has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rollins avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Rollins has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Beltran is trying to keep an underhook but Rollins manages to get the takedown into half guard. Beltran manages to escape and get back to his feet! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice body kick there by Rollins. Rollins slaps away a takedown attempt from Beltran, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beltran closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rollins circles away. Despite the aggression on Rollins's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Beltran shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rollins as he jumps to the side. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Beltran throws a head kick but Rollins moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rollins darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Beltran swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Beltran throws a head kick that misses and Rollins counters with a three punch combo that has Beltran backing up. Beltran nods at Rollins to acknowledge the strikes. Rollins leaves Beltran with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rollins lands with a kick to the ribs.
Beltran tries for a takedown but Rollins sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Rollins misses with the combination.
Beltran half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rollins lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Beltran takes the fight into the clinch. Rollins prevents a takedown attempt there.
Beltran swings wildly with an uppercut but Rollins uses good head movement to avoid it. Rollins has clasped his hands together around Beltran's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Beltran might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rollins landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Rollins lands an elbow. Rollins is looking to take a break and control but Beltran is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ground and pound from Rollins seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beltran taking a bit of punishment here - Rollins scoring with strikes. Beltran is not content to let Rollins control the position. Rollins connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Beltran some visible discomfort.

Castor Rollins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Beltran tries to clinch up. Rollins throws a series of punches but Beltran moves out of range. Beltran changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rollins tries to avoid it but Beltran manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rollins to the ground. Rollins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Beltran. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beltran takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Rollins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Beltran keeps working. Rollins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rollins working the ground and pound but Beltran is defending the strikes. Rollins misses with the ground and pound. Rollins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Beltran keeps working. Rollins throwing strikes but Beltran manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Rollins manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Beltran performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Rollins tries to get to full guard but Beltran has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rollins is controlling Beltran's position as best he can from this difficult position. Rollins is looking to control Beltran's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rollins avoid being mounted? Rollins works his way to full guard. Good work. Rollins has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rollins has control of Beltran's left arm, preventing Beltran from doing any damage. Beltran won't allow Rollins to sweep him here. Beltran is looking to work some ground and pound but Rollins has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Beltran stopping the sweep attempt from Rollins. Rollins trying to control the position.
Rollins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rollins sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Beltran defending well though. Rollins lands with a punch from half guard. Rollins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Beltran keeps working. Rollins working Beltran over with strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rollins looks to land a strike but Beltran avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Rollins stands up over Beltran, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Castor Rollins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Rollins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
