Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Primo Volto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pavle Korchagin!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korchagin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

It looks like Pavle Korchagin has been cut.

Volto closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Korchagin to the mat! Korchagin manages to get full guard.
Volto trying to control but Korchagin is working from the bottom.
Volto is really struggling to control Korchagin but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Volto throws a big elbow that misses.
Korchagin has his hands on Volto's head, controlling the position.

Volto is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Korchagin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Volto wants to control but Korchagin is keeping him busy.
Korchagin is looking to control Volto's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Korchagin avoid being mounted?
Volto is keen to just control but Korchagin is a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A decent looking cross lands there for Volto.
Korchagin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Volto is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Primo Volto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pavle Korchagin.

Volto throws a right and a left that Korchagin avoids nicely.
Volto misses with the combination.

Korchagin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Volto on his heels. He'll look to pass Volto's guard now, I'm sure.

Korchagin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Korchagin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Volto seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Korchagin slips nicely into half guard.

Volto wants to control but Korchagin is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Volto is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Korchagin pulls his head out easily.
Volto wants to get back to full guard.

Korchagin feints the counter takedown.
Volto throws a left and a right that both miss

and Korchagin counters with a shoot takedown. Volto fights it but they end up in guard.
Korchagin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Volto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Volto has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Korchagin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Volto has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Korchagin doesn't defend quickly enough and Volto has managed to lock this one up! Can Korchagin escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Volto on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Primo Volto!
Primo Volto seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
