Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arod Doyea (ranked 1519 p4p, 185 weight class) and Jorginho Marcelo (ranked 1215 p4p, 153 weight class). Doyea comes to the cage accompanied by Doc Holiday - Volbeat. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcelo clinches up with Doyea and pushes him back against the cage.
Marcelo jumps guard and drags Doyea to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marcelo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Marcelo is trying to control the position but Doyea postures up.
Doyea pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marcelo is keeping the position for now.
Marcelo controls Doyea momentarily but Doyea frees himself.
Marcelo wants to sweep here but Doyea controlling him for the moment.
Marcelo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Doyea manages to get himself to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marcelo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Doyea manages to get himself to full guard.
Doyea is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marcelo defends well.

Marcelo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Doyea is refusing to be controlled, as Marcelo sits in half guard.

Marcelo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Doyea doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marcelo.

Marcelo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Doyea is not content to let Marcelo control the position.
Marcelo is looking to advance position but Doyea won't allow it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Doyea is looking to improve his position.
Doyea is trying to stand up here but Marcelo is controlling him well.
Marcelo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Doyea keeps working.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Marcelo looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Marcelo wants to pass the guard but Doyea is keeping the position.

Marcelo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Jorginho Marcelo dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Marcelo tries to close the distance and clinch but Doyea swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Arod Doyea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doyea rushes Marcelo and presses him up against the cage.
Doyea lands a left hand that snaps the head of Marcelo backwards.
Marcelo tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Marcelo goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Marcelo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Doyea can't fight it off and eventually Marcelo manages to take the fight to the floor. Doyea looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Doyea can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Marcelo controls the pace.

Doyea is looking for a triangle here but Marcelo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Doyea is pushing Marcelo's head away, looking to escape. Marcelo manages to hold on to the position though.
Marcelo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Doyea is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Doyea is looking for a sweep.
Marcelo controls the position.
Doyea sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Marcelo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Marcelo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Marcelo wants to free his trapped foot but Doyea is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Doyea is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Marcelo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Doyea does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Marcelo in particular looking to stall.
Doyea wants to control but Marcelo is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Marcelo wants to pass the guard but Doyea is defending well.
Still in half guard, Marcelo seems content to control.
Doyea is trying to stand up here but Marcelo is controlling him well.

Doyea has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marcelo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Doyea is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Marcelo frees his head nicely. Oh but Doyea has switched to an armbar! Marcelo is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

After the fight, Arod Doyea was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
