Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hero Galanos (ranked 629 p4p, 96 weight class) and Juha Niska (ranked 356 p4p, 49 weight class). Galanos comes to the cage accompanied by oh boy, he's walking out in gladiator trunks. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hero Galanos!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juha Niska!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Galanos misses.
Niska looks to throw the jab but Galanos is out of range.
Galanos half committed to a counter leg kick.
Niska takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Niska uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Galanos.
Niska misses with an uppercut.
A little feinted left hand from Galanos on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Galanos pivots, looking for a leg kick but Niska is out of range and Galanos settles back down.
Galanos slips under a jab from Niska.
Galanos takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Galanos throws a body punch but Niska moves out of range.
Galanos ducks right into an uppercut from Niska.
Good leg kick by Galanos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Niska misses with an uppercut.
Galanos lands with a straight right. Niska didn't see that one coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters circle momentarily. Niska darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Galanos misses with a body shot.
Niska misses with a wild body shot.
Galanos scores with a decent looking hook.
Niska misses with a body shot.
Galanos is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Galanos cracks Niska with an open hand slap.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Galanos.
Niska scores with a nice head shot.
Niska is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Galanos.
Niska cracks Galanos with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Niska has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Galanos to stand back up!
Galanos is rocked!
Niska lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Galanos head around and knocks him out cold! Niska hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Juha Niska!
Juha Niska is the new light heavyweight champion!
After the fight, Juha Niska was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
