Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Michael Bronco (ranked 23492 p4p, 560 weight class) and Kula Leumpei (ranked 7014 p4p, 520 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Bronco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kula Leumpei! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bronco moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Bronco is looking to slow Leumpei down with leg kicks. Bronco throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Bronco bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Sloppy strikes from Leumpei. Those never looked like landing. Leumpei gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Leumpei throws a sloppy head kick and Bronco connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bronco lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Leumpei at a distance.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bronco smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Bronco works over Leumpei's head and body with a nice combination. Leumpei throws a head kick that misses. Leumpei lands with a nice combination. Bronco backs away looking to recover. Bronco slips under a jab from Leumpei. Bronco throws a hook but Leumpei blocks it. Bronco throws a left and a right that both miss
and Leumpei counters with a straight right that drops Bronco on his ass! Bronco jumps back to his feet. He seems OK to continue so we'll get back to the action.
Bronco is rocked! Leumpei rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bronco moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Oh Bronco is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bronco misses with a hook. Leumpei ducked under it nicely. Bronco looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bronco seems to have got his legs back now. Bronco throws a body shot but no joy. Bronco dodges the punch combination from Leumpei.
Bronco swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Leumpei walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Bronco lands a glancing blow to the side of Leumpei's head. Bronco tries to land a front kick but Leumpei steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Bronco lands a jab. Leumpei has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bronco. Sloppy strikes from Bronco. Those never looked like landing. Bronco takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Bronco misses the jab. Michael Bronco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Leumpei throws out a head kick that Bronco doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Bronco crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Bronco's eyes and has decided to let it go on!
It looks like Michael Bronco has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bronco throws a body shot but no joy. Bronco throws the left hand but Leumpei avoids the punch easily. Leumpei looks to land a right hand but Bronco moved out of range. Bronco is looking to land body kicks. Bronco jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sloppy strikes from Leumpei. Those never looked like landing. Sloppy strikes from Leumpei. Those never looked like landing. Bronco lands with a right hand. Leumpei defending well as Bronco loads up on a big left hand. Bronco is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Bronco will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bronco misses with a hook. Bronco slips a jab and a cross from Leumpei.
Bronco thows a left - swing and a miss! Bronco moves out of range as Leumpei strikes. Leumpei misses with a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bronco throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bronco throws a nice looking combination but Leumpei bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Leumpei throws a head kick that Bronco semi-blocks.
That kick from Bronco tenderised Leumpei's leg. Leumpei is trying to keep his angry face on. Bronco throws a jab but it's blocked by Leumpei. Leumpei tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Bronco manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bronco throws an off balance right hand
and Leumpei counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bronco throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bronco misses with a straight right. Leumpei uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bronco. Bronco with a nice cross. Leumpei throws a good cross that connects.
Bronco slips under a jab. Leumpei avoids a lazy jab quite easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Leumpei lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Leumpei throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leumpei misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Leumpei takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Leumpei looks winded! Bronco lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leumpei circles away quickly and effectively. Bronco takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bronco swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bronco throws a right hand that Leumpei ducks under and follows up with a left that Leumpei also avoids with ease. Leumpei misses with a head kick.
Leumpei fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Bronco throws a right and a left that Leumpei avoids nicely. Leumpei misses with an uppercut. Bronco saw that one coming. Bronco blocks a head kick by Leumpei.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A head kick misses from Bronco. Leumpei looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The fighters circle momentarily. Bronco darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Bronco lands a jab to the nose. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michael Bronco will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Michael Bronco's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Leumpei looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bronco fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Bronco takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Bronco swings for the body but Leumpei moves out of range.
Bronco feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Leumpei's calf. Leumpei throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Leumpei has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bronco finds it's way round the side to connect with Leumpei's head. Leumpei tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Leumpei throws a head kick but Bronco moves out of range.
Michael Bronco is winning the standup battle so far. Leumpei slips a jab and a cross from Bronco.
Leumpei moves out of range as Bronco strikes. Bronco blocks a head kick by Leumpei.
Bronco misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bronco avoids the head kick by Leumpei.
Leumpei is breathing heavily. Leumpei on the wrong end of a nice jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Leumpei moves away from the strike by Bronco.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bronco throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Leumpei sees it coming and avoids it easily. Leumpei misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Leumpei throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bronco dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Leumpei. That did some damage! Bronco stuns Leumpei with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Leumpei tries to clinch but Bronco is having none of it. It looked like Bronco wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Bronco lands a nice shot that snaps Leumpei's head back.
Leumpei takes a kick to the side of the head. Leumpei misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Decent striking displayed by Bronco there. Bronco lands with a kick to the temple. Leumpei shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Bronco lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Leumpei pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Leumpei's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bronco connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Leumpei scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bronco takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Leumpei is rocked! A jab lands there for Bronco. Leumpei is still on wobbly legs! Can Bronco finish him? Leumpei misses with a hook
and Bronco connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Leumpei drops his guard momentarily, allowing Bronco to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Leumpei! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Bronco takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Michael Bronco!
