Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dan Dapper (ranked 5337 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Brophy (ranked 4394 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Ben Watson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dapper tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brophy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dapper somewhat.
Dapper takes one on the button.
Brophy scores with a jab to the body.
Dapper fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Dapper. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Brophy closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brophy works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Dapper takes a shot to the head.
Dapper has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brophy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Brophy lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Dapper backwards.

Brophy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Brophy throws a sloppy head kick and Dapper moves out of range easily.
Dapper misses with a leg kick
and Brophy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dapper fails with a takedown attempt.
Dapper tries to clinch up but Brophy circles away and keeps his distance.
Dapper gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Brophy counters with a straight right hand.
Brophy lands with a nice body punch.
Dapper takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Dapper is rocked!
Brophy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oh Dapper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brophy scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Dapper misses with a body shot.
Brophy uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brophy scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Dapper wants to control but Brophy is having none of it.
Dapper keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brophy is continuing to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Brophy dominated that round.
That's time! Dapper's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Brophy connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Brophy lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Dapper takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Brophy lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Dapper tries to clinch up.
Brophy stuffs the takedown.

and Brophy counters with a crisp right hand that drops Dapper! Brophy lets Dapper back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
BOOM! Brophy lands a beautiful left hook that drops Dapper. Dapper tries to recover but Brophy is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Dapper lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
