Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Diesel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Cafuzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diesel tries to clinch there but Cafuzo circles away.
Cafuzo shoots in and bounces Diesel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Diesel throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Cafuzo forces his way into half guard. Cafuzo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Diesel! Diesel tries to get back to half guard but can't. Diesel wants to control but Cafuzo is having none of it. Diesel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cafuzo on the ground. Cafuzo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Diesel manages to avoid the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cafuzo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Diesel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Diesel can't do much from the bottom here. Diesel tries to buck Cafuzo off but Cafuzo is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cafuzo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diesel knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Diesel is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Diesel is trying to improve his position. Cafuzo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cafuzo performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Cafuzo is looking for a kimura but Diesel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cafuzo to get the leverage. Diesel looks like he's trying to stand up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Diesel won't allow Cafuzo to pass to mount. Diesel tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Diesel is trying to maintain the position but Cafuzo is very close to passing his half guard. Diesel misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Diesel is breathing heavily. Cafuzo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Cafuzo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Diesel keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cafuzo with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Diesel is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Cafuzo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Diesel is looking to escape. Diesel is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diesel tries to hold on but Cafuzo pushes him away. Cafuzo has hold of Diesel's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Diesel manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Cafuzo wants to finish this one by submission but Diesel is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cafuzo. Diesel is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cafuzo trying to control but he's not successful this time. Cafuzo controlling from mount. Cafuzo is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Diesel is surviving well by controlling Cafuzo's body position as best he can. Diesel has given up his back.
Cafuzo looking for the choke but no joy. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cafuzo controlling well, preventing Diesel from escaping the position.

Carl Cafuzo dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Diesel with a poor takedown and Cafuzo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cafuzo. Cafuzo pushing down on Diesel's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Cafuzo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Diesel defends it well. Cafuzo moves nicely into side control. Cafuzo moves into full mount! Carl Cafuzo has got the better of the ground game so far. Cafuzo fails to advance to Diesel's back. Cafuzo quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Cafuzo but it's paid off an Diesel is forced to tap! Nice work by Cafuzo.
