Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tatu Kurri (ranked 564 p4p, 72 weight class) and Jacob Proudmoore (ranked 2138 p4p, 260 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tatu Kurri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Proudmoore!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proudmoore misses with a looping right.
Kurri fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kurri bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kurri keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Proudmoore lands with an overhand left.
Jacob Proudmoore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kurri avoids the body shot from Proudmoore.
A counter left hand to the body from Kurri misses its target.
Kurri has been working on his boxing with his coaches at K.O Heaven in the buildup to the fight.
Proudmoore missing with a left hand there. Kurri was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kurri was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Kurri looking to score a takedown here. Proudmoore is defending well but Kurri drives through and ends up in Proudmoore's guard.
Proudmoore looking for a sweep. Not yet Proudmoore, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kurri trying to control but Proudmoore is working from the bottom.
Kurri postures up and lands a big shot to Proudmoore's brow.

Proudmoore not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kurri wants to control from the top but Proudmoore keeps moving.
Proudmoore trying to keep a closed guard but Kurri is proving a slippery customer.

Kurri passes Proudmoore's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Proudmoore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kurri. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kurri wants to pass the guard but Proudmoore is defending well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kurri lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Proudmoore has hold of Kurri's hands but Kurri slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kurri looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Proudmoore with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kurri is looking to take a break and control but Proudmoore is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Proudmoore wants to control but Kurri is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Proudmoore moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kurri slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Proudmoore can't do much from the bottom here.
Proudmoore is trying to improve his position.
Kurri in side control lands a decent elbow.

Kurri working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Proudmoore is not content to let Kurri control the position.
Proudmoore wants to control but Kurri postures up.

Kurri swings around for an armbar but Proudmoore sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kurri's guard.
Kurri wants to sweep but no luck.
Kurri has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kurri looking to control.
Proudmoore wants to get up but he can't break Kurri's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Proudmoore stopping the sweep attempt from Kurri.

Kurri controls Proudmoore momentarily but Proudmoore frees himself.

Proudmoore wants to pass the guard but Kurri is keeping the position.

Kurri is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Proudmoore defends well.

Kurri looking for a triangle here. Proudmoore is fighting it but it looks tight! Kurri pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Proudmoore is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Tatu Kurri!
A very excited looking Tatu Kurri rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
