Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maximilian Rockatansky!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Davis.
Rockatansky will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rockatansky looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Davis misses with a takedown attempt - Rockatansky sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Davis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rockatansky sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Davis somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Davis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rockatansky.
Davis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rockatansky.
Davis moves out of range as Rockatansky throws a body kick.
Davis feinted with a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Davis tries to keep at a distance but Rockatansky has taken the fight into the clinch.
Our sources have told us that Davis has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Davis fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Davis wants to take the fight to the mat but Rockatansky manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Davis breaks from the clinch.

Rockatansky shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rockatansky showed some decent athleticism there.
Rockatansky is nestled in close to Davis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Rockatansky seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Davis is trying to control but can't.
Davis works his way to full guard. Good work.
Rockatansky wants to stand but Davis is controlling his posture from full guard.
Rockatansky must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rockatansky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Davis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis is breathing heavily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rockatansky's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Rockatansky wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving.

Rockatansky decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rockatansky throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Davis.
Rockatansky misses with a wild combination.
Rockatansky circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rockatansky lands a jab to the head.
Rockatansky swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Davis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Davis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rockatansky defends well and Davis ends up having to push Rockatansky into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Rockatansky clinches with his opponent.
Davis missing with knees to the body.
Rockatansky tries to break the clinch but Davis is controlling the position.

Davis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rockatansky looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Some wild striking there from Rockatansky.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rockatansky sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rockatansky throws an overhand right that lands on Davis's shoulder, as Davis tries to avoid the shot.
Davis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rockatansky tries to bum rush Davis with a series of wild strikes but Davis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rockatansky's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rockatansky duly obliges.


It looks like Mark Davis has been cut.
Davis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davis wants it to stay on the feet.
Davis lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Rockatansky throws a combination that misses
and Davis counters with a straight right hand.

Rockatansky moves into the clinch successfully.

Rockatansky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Davis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Davis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rockatansky sprawls well. Rockatansky wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Davis gets slowly back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Maximilian Rockatansky dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mark Davis's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Rockatansky darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Rockatansky is just content to waste time from the top position. Davis takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Rockatansky trying to control the position from guard on top but Davis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rockatansky not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Davis is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Rockatansky has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Davis.
Rockatansky lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Davis backs up against the cage.
Maximilian Rockatansky seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Rockatansky misses with a series of wild punches.
Davis is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Rockatansky.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rockatansky throws a counter combo.
Rockatansky lands with a right that hurts Davis. Davis looks to clinch but Rockatansky throws a short knee that drops Davis. This one is all over!
