The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmitt is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Schmitt closes the distance and clinches.
Schmitt blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Schmitt blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Schmitt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Petrovs swings for the body but Schmitt moves out of range.
Schmitt clinches with his opponent.
Schmitt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Oooooh!!! Petrovs has knocked Schmitt down with a huge combo! Petrovs steps away and waves a wobbly Schmitt back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Tumleh Schmitt has been cut.

Petrovs connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Schmitt! He's out on his feet! Petrovs rushes in and drops Schmitt with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

In his post fight interview, Kaspars Petrovs started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
