Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cajetan Shashi (ranked 2465 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Dettman (ranked 3677 p4p, 384 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cajetan Shashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Dettman! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dettman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Shashi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dettman sprawls well initially but Shashi persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Dettman pushes Shashi off but Shashi dives into side control.
The strikes coming from Shashi are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Dettman is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Shashi has just dragged him back down to the mat. Dettman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dettman tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Shashi wants to control the pace but Dettman is squirming around nicely. Dettman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shashi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shashi is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Dettman is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Dettman flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Shashi anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Dettman and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Shashi slips an arm under Dettman chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Shashi has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Shashi is squeezing on Dettman like an anaconda would it's prey. Dettman fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Cajetan Shashi! Cajetan Shashi decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
