Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luis Pinto (ranked 2947 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Gomez (ranked 3385 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinto shoots in looking for a takedown. Gomez tries to sprawl out of it but Pinto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gomez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pinto shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Gomez has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Pinto is on him like a limpet, forcing Gomez back against the cage.
Pinto throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Gomez is looking to take this one to the mat.
Pinto has picked Gomez up - he's going for a ride! Pinto dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Gomez has one foot on Pinto's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pinto shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gomez sprawls well. Gomez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pinto gets slowly back to his feet.

Pinto tries to close the distance and clinch but Gomez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Luis Pinto will probably get the nod.
