Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kostas Papolodopaulos (ranked 3510 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jones (ranked 6437 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papolodopaulos throws a hook but Jones blocks it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Papolodopaulos's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Papolodopaulos throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jones escapes and throws Papolodopaulos's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That was a close round but I would say that Kostas Papolodopaulos will probably get the nod.
