Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dante Walsh (ranked 4787 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chitavake Cheetah (ranked 6647 p4p, 0 weight class). Walsh comes to the cage accompanied by ✿ Lilbootycall ✿ - 18K ft. Juicy J. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dante Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chitavake Cheetah!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheetah walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Walsh checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Walsh misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Cheetah tries to keep at a distance but Walsh has taken the fight into the clinch.
A short uppercut from Walsh.

Walsh breaks the clinch.
Walsh throws a body kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walsh moves into range and clinches up with Cheetah.
Walsh wants a takedown but no success here.

Walsh jumps guard and drags Cheetah to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Walsh working for a triangle but Cheetah defends it easily.

Walsh wants to sweep but no luck.
Walsh controls Cheetah momentarily but Cheetah frees himself.
Walsh has Cheetah pulled in close to control his posture.
Walsh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cheetah prevents Walsh from getting back to his feet.
Cheetah postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Cheetah tries to clinch but Walsh is having none of it.

Walsh fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cheetah, pushing him back against the cage.

Walsh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cheetah tries to score a power double leg takedown but Walsh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cheetah somewhat.
Walsh throws a big counter combination but Cheetah scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Walsh moves into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A frustrated look appears on Cheetah's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Walsh ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Walsh no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Walsh manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cheetah manages to get himself to full guard.

Walsh makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Walsh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Walsh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Walsh stands and throws Cheetah's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Cheetah tries to buck Walsh off but Walsh is having none of it.

Cheetah parries the strikes from Walsh easily there. Walsh is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cheetah to escape.
Walsh misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Walsh wants to control but Cheetah is keeping him busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Walsh is trying to get an arm triangle but Cheetah is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Walsh counters with a stiff right hand.
Chitavake Cheetah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walsh fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cheetah avoids it really well and circles away.

Walsh gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walsh ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Walsh no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Walsh pushes Cheetah off and scrambles back to his feet.
Walsh dives in for a single leg takedown but Cheetah sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Cheetah tries to clinch up but Walsh circles away and keeps his distance.

Walsh pushes Cheetah up against the cage in a clinch.

Walsh manages to break the clinch.
Cheetah changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Walsh tries to avoid it but Cheetah manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Walsh to the ground. Walsh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Walsh misses with a takedown attempt - Cheetah sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dante Walsh. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Walsh rushes Cheetah and presses him up against the cage.
Cheetah is trying to pull guard but Walsh has him pressed against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Walsh.

Walsh gets control of Cheetah's arms and successfully pulls guard. Walsh will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Walsh manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cheetah manages to get himself to full guard.

Walsh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Walsh in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Walsh passes into half guard.
Cheetah trying to get back to full guard but Walsh takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Cheetah is breathing heavily.
Walsh throws some wild stikes that Cheetah manages to avoid easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Walsh avoids the attempt from Cheetah to control.
Cheetah wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Walsh.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cheetah is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Walsh controlling from the full mount.
Walsh thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Walsh is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cheetah can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Cheetah avoids a series of strikes thrown by Walsh.
Cheetah really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walsh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Walsh tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Walsh throws some wild stikes that Cheetah manages to avoid easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cheetah can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's time! Walsh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Walsh clinches with his opponent.
Walsh lands an elbow that stopped Cheetah in his tracks for a moment.
Cheetah prevents a takedown attempt there.
Walsh is pressed up against the cage. Cheetah has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Walsh down to the mat. Walsh avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Walsh is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cheetah can do to turn this around?

Walsh has closed the distance and engaged Cheetah in a clinch.
Walsh scores with a shoulder strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walsh stuffs the takedown attempt from Cheetah. Cheetah gets slowly back to his feet.
Cheetah stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cheetah wants it to stay on the feet.
Dante Walsh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Walsh shoots in but Cheetah avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Cheetah shoots in looking for a takedown but Walsh manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cheetah's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Nice sprawl there from Cheetah as Walsh shoots in.

Walsh closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Walsh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No luck for Walsh with that takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cheetah! But no joy.

Cheetah fails with a takedown attempt.
Cheetah fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Walsh has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Walsh clinches.
Cheetah jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Walsh walks away with a smile on his face. Cheetah gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Walsh doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Cheetah counters with a series of strikes. Walsh will be more careful next time no doubt.
Walsh throws a head kick that misses.
Walsh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cheetah goes for a double leg but Walsh avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Walsh continues to drive forward.
Walsh appears to be looking for a big counter.

Cheetah fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Walsh moves into the clinch successfully.

Walsh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cheetah shoots for a double leg takedown but Walsh sprawls well. He's pushed Cheetah's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Walsh misses with the combination.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dante Walsh showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Walsh has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
