PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Herrera Jr (ranked 3832 p4p, 333 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 4452 p4p, 373 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Herrera Jr on that attempt.
Lee takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lee throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Lee closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Herrera Jr's guard.

Herrera Jr scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Lee moves into the clinch.
Herrera Jr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Herrera Jr turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lee tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Herrera Jr tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Herrera Jr has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Herrera Jr wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.

Herrera Jr thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Herrera Jr darts in looking for a takedown but Lee gets double underhooks and turns Herrera Jr into the cage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Herrera Jr manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Lee's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Herrera Jr has Lee pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lee manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackson Herrera Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Herrera Jr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lee is fending him off so far but Herrera Jr persists. Nope, Lee circles away and we're back to standing.
Lee scores with a one two! Herrera Jr had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Lee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Herrera Jr was covering up waiting for the punch and Lee finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lee wants to control from the top but Herrera Jr keeps moving.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lee throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Herrera Jr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Herrera Jr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
