Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lug Luger (ranked 4152 p4p, 162 weight class) and Joshua Vileev (ranked 5846 p4p, 186 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lug Luger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joshua Vileev!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vileev punishes Luger's body with a nice straight punch.
A big right from Vileev misses.
Luger avoids a punch combination nicely.
It looked like Luger wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Vileev cracks Luger with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Vileev has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Luger to stand back up!


It looks like Lug Luger has been cut.
Vileev swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Luger closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vileev did well to prevent Luger getting side control.

Luger is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vileev defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Luger wants to work for an arm triangle but Vileev is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Vileev flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Luger is working for a submission of some sort.

Luger is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vileev wants to get back to his feet.

Luger is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vileev doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Luger.

Luger is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Vileev wants to control but Luger is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Luger wants to work for an arm triangle but Vileev is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Vileev is looking to escape.

Luger is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Vileev wants to get back to his feet.
Vileev wants to get back to full guard but Luger has passed into side control.
You can see the frustration on Vileev's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Vileev is looking to reverse the position.
Vileev is not content to let Luger control the position.

Luger is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vileev is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Luger has knee on belly and moves into mount.
We've been informed that Vileev has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Luger is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Vileev is surviving well by controlling Luger's body position as best he can.

Luger is working for a guillotine from mount but Vileev frees his head quite easily.
Luger scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Vileev tries to hold on but Luger postures up.

Luger looking to secure an arm triangle but Vileev defends it well.
Vileev is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Luger has hold of Vileev's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Vileev manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Luger is working for a guillotine from mount but Vileev frees his head quite easily.
Vileev is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lug Luger will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Lug Luger's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Vileev throws a sloppy head kick

and Luger counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Luger.
Vileev is looking to stand up but Luger isn't so interested in that idea.

Luger drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Luger jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Vileev wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Luger manages to pass to side control.

Luger decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Luger slips a straight right by Vileev.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vileev looks to land a right hand but Luger moved out of range.
Vileev cracks Luger's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Luger slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Vileev can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joshua Vileev!
