The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedersen throws a hook but Gallagher avoids it easily.
Pedersen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gallagher swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pedersen on the wrong end of a nice jab.

It looks like Kaare Pedersen has been cut.
Pedersen misses with a head kick.
Gallagher blocks a low kick nicely.
Pedersen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pedersen tries a head kick but it misses.
Gallagher throws a right hand that Pedersen ducks under and follows up with a left that Pedersen also avoids with ease.

and Pedersen counters with a good low kick that Gallagher was not able to check.

Pedersen connects with a high kick.

and Pedersen counters with a shoot takedown. Gallagher fights it but they end up in guard.

Gallagher wants to get back to his feet but Pedersen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Gallagher is working an open guard so Pedersen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gallagher throws a lazy head kick
and Pedersen counters with a series of strikes. Gallagher will be more careful next time no doubt.

Pedersen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gallagher, pushing him back against the cage.

Gallagher manages to break the clinch.
Pedersen shoots in for a double leg but Gallagher sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kaare Pedersen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gallagher avoids the body shot from Pedersen.
Pedersen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Pedersen tries to clinch up.

and Pedersen counters with an outside leg kick.

Pedersen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pedersen showed some decent athleticism there.

Pedersen tries to clinch there but Gallagher circles away.
Pedersen closes the distance and clinches up with Gallagher, looking for a takedown. Pedersen pushes Gallagher against the cage but Gallagher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Greg Gallagher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaare Pedersen.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gallagher looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pedersen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pedersen throws a jab but it's blocked by Gallagher.
Gallagher circles away from the clinch attempt
and Gallagher counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Pedersen falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
