Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dewell Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dewell Brewer!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parker drives through with a takedown into guard.
Brewer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Parker won't allow Brewer to get back to his feet.
Brewer can't keep his opponent in guard - Parker advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Parker seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brewer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Parker connects with a nice short shot to Brewer's temple.

Parker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Parker is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Brewer can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Parker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Brewer is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Parker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Brewer's back instead.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

You can see the frustration on Brewer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Brewer trying to control but Parker flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parker is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Brewer has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Parker has the hooks in. Brewer is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Parker fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Parker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Parker lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Parker quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Parker but it's paid off an Brewer is forced to tap! Nice work by Parker.
