PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Sewell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yogg Saron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Yogg Saron was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshua Sewell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yogg Saron!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saron tries to clinch there but Sewell circles away.

Sewell instigates a clinch.
Sewell can't get the takedown.

Saron breaks from the clinch.

Saron clinches with his opponent.

Saron breaks from the clinch.
Sewell blocks the body kick.
Saron fails with the takedown.
Saron throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Saron clinches but Sewell breaks the clinch

so Sewell counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Sewell forces his way into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saron looks gassed!
Sewell passes to side control.

Sewell decides to stand up, so the ref orders Saron to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Saron misses with a jab, cross combination.

Saron closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sewell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sewell regains half guard.

Sewell looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Sewell controlling the position well.
Sewell could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sewell is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Saron's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Saron's back!
Saron is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sewell controls the position.
Sewell gets his hands free as Saron looks to control.
Sewell connects with a big shot to the side of Saron's head.

Sewell working for a choke but Saron is defending well.

Sewell is cranking Saron's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Saron! He's tightened the choke and Saron is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Joshua Sewell!
