Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Wackson !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manolo Ribera!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribera jabs Wackson right on the nose. Wackson blinks but takes it well.
Horrible takedown attempt by Wackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Ribera, which made it look bad.

Wackson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wackson controls the position.

Wackson is trying to get an arm triangle but Ribera is defending well.

Wackson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Wackson takes a little break here. Ribera wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wackson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Wackson lands a nice forearm strike.

Wackson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wackson staying calm.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ribera looks to move to half guard but instead Wackson has passed into mount! Damn!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wackson has control of Ribera's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ribera regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Wackson landing strikes, looking to finish!
Wackson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wackson throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Ribera is working to get back to half guard.

Wackson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ribera can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Ribera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wackson . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wackson working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Ribera looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Wackson ! Submission of the night perhaps?
