Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jabbar Omarov (ranked 2658 p4p, 340 weight class) and Rafael Cortez (ranked 11396 p4p, 627 weight class). Cortez has chosen Wake Me Up as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Jabbar Omarov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 3 losses; Rafael Cortez! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Omarov circles away from the clinch attempt.

Omarov has Cortez up against the ropes in a clinch.
Omarov jumps guard and drags Cortez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Omarov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cortez is aware though and is defending well. Omarov being controlled here, momentarily. Cortez trying to control the position from guard on top but Omarov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Omarov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cortez is one step ahead there. Cortez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Omarov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cortez trying to control but Omarov is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cortez won't allow Omarov to sweep him here. Omarov keeping moving, preventing Cortez from controlling successfully. Omarov looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Omarov is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Cortez rolls with it to try and escape but Omarov cranks on the arm and Cortez is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
