Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Don Sheidu (ranked 806 p4p, 47 weight class) and Domonic Dilbrandt (ranked 1368 p4p, 82 weight class). Dilbrandt has chosen The Champ is Here as his entrance music. Domonic Dilbrandt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Don Sheidu!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Domonic Dilbrandt!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheidu dives in for a single leg takedown but Dilbrandt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Dilbrandt looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Sheidu tries to clinch but Dilbrandt is having none of it.
A head kick misses from Dilbrandt.
Sheidu takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Horrible takedown attempt by Sheidu or perhaps it was just good defense by Dilbrandt, which made it look bad.

Sheidu can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dilbrandt controls the pace.
Dilbrandt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sheidu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dilbrandt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dilbrandt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sheidu looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dilbrandt has picked Sheidu up and slammed him! Sheidu can't keep hold of the triangle and Dilbrandt manages to pass to side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sheidu is trying to improve his position.
Sheidu can't do much from the bottom here.
Dilbrandt controls the position from side control.
Sheidu regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Domonic Dilbrandt dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sheidu on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Dilbrandt. Dilbrandt obviously looking to wear him down.
Dilbrandt throws a lazy right hand but Sheidu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

And Dilbrandt tries to counter it with a takedown but Sheidu pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Dilbrandt comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sheidu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dilbrandt.

Sheidu tries to clinch there but Dilbrandt circles away.

Dilbrandt swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
As Dilbrandt looks to move away, Sheidu throws a big counter combo but Dilbrandt just gets out of the way.

Sheidu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dilbrandt's waist but Dilbrandt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sheidu off to one side.

Sheidu takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Both fighters circling a little - Dilbrandt finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Crunch! Dilbrandt slams his shin into Sheidu's torso.
Domonic Dilbrandt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dilbrandt connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Dilbrandt lands with an uppercut that bounces Sheidu off the cage and back into range.
Sheidu doesn't manage to clinch there - Dilbrandt circles away.

Sheidu shoots for a double leg takedown but Dilbrandt sprawls well. He's pushed Sheidu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Dilbrandt throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sheidu's head.
Dilbrandt uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Domonic Dilbrandt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Domonic Dilbrandt was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
