Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Silva (ranked 1965 p4p, 209 weight class) and Ribaraoi Tawaivuna (ranked 2886 p4p, 272 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Ratamahatta - Sepultura. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ribaraoi Tawaivuna! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tawaivuna tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tawaivuna somewhat. Tawaivuna is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Silva thuds his right hand into Tawaivuna's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Silva pushes Tawaivuna up against the cage in a clinch. Tawaivuna takes an elbow to the forehead. Silva is defending well against a takedown attempt. Our sources have told us that Silva has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Silva. Silva lands a body shot. Silva scores a nice knee to the body.
Silva lands an elbow that stopped Tawaivuna in his tracks for a moment. Tawaivuna has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Felipe Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ribaraoi Tawaivuna. Tawaivuna has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Silva after a bit of a struggle. Tawaivuna takes an elbow to the temple. Silva lands an elbow just above Tawaivuna 's eye. Tawaivuna looks winded! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silva lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Silva creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Tawaivuna's defenses. Silva lands a nice elbow. Silva lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Silva lands an elbow inside that Tawaivuna shrugs off.
Tawaivuna is rocked! Tawaivuna takes an elbow to the temple. Tawaivuna is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva lands an elbow inside. Tawaivuna tries for a takedown. No joy.
Silva crunches a lovely knee into Tawaivuna's ribcage. Silva landing knees to the body.
Silva has Tawaivuna pressed against the cage. He pushes Tawaivuna back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Silva throws a beautiful elbow that sends Tawaivuna crashing to the floor! Silva piles on the pressure with more strikes! Tawaivuna is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Felipe Silva! In his post fight interview, Felipe Silva started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
