The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dobrev scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hilbert works his way to full guard. Good work. Hilbert working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dobrev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dobrev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hilbert is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dobrev defends well. Dobrev trying to control the position from guard on top but Hilbert is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dobrev is really struggling to control Hilbert but he's trying to hold on to the position. Hilbert had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dobrev defends it easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dobrev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hilbert has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dobrev has managed to get both his arms back between Hilbert's legs - danger averted. Hilbert pushes a forearm under Dobrev's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Dobrev is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). David Hilbert!
