The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dozer throws a big counter combination but Jack scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
A head kick by Dozer misses
and Jack counters with a shoot takedown. Dozer fights it but they end up in guard.
Jack passes into half guard.
Dozer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jack on the ground.
Dozer is trying to stand back up but Jack is controlling him
My spies in Island Hammers Fight Camp inform me that Jack has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Jack lands strikes from half guard.
Jack working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Dozer is looking to escape.
Jack has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jack landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Dozer is rocked!
Jack is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Dozer takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Jack's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
