Kolov tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kolov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Escalante connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kolov scrambles back to his feet.
Escalante slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kolov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kolov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Escalante pinned against the cage. Escalante gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kolov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Escalante defends well and Kolov ends up having to push Escalante into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Vicente Escalante has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Kolov.
Kolov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Escalante's waist but Escalante gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kolov off to one side.

Kolov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Escalante tries to avoid it but Kolov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Escalante to the ground. Escalante escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Escalante drops Kolov with a beautiful combination! Kolov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Escalante is looking for the KO!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Escalante throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kolov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Escalante connects with a stiff jab that staggers Kolov - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
