Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Temirov (ranked 4483 p4p, 378 weight class) and Jake Grey (ranked 4597 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruslan Temirov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Grey! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grey throws a hook but Temirov avoids it easily. Grey missing with a left hand there. Temirov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Temirov with a poor takedown and Grey holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Grey's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Grey lands with a short head shot on the inside. Grey lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Grey scores with a nice hook to the head. Temirov manages to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Temirov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Grey wants to stand and escape but instead Temirov has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Temirov trying to control but Grey is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Grey looking for a sweep. Not yet Grey, not yet. Temirov wants to control from the top but Grey keeps moving. Grey throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Temirov connects with a couple of short punches. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Grey can do anything to dispel that myth. Grey controlling the position. Grey throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Temirov trying to control but Grey is working from the bottom. Temirov passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Grey wants to get back to full guard but Temirov has passed into side control. Temirov is looking to take a break and control but Grey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Temirov decides to stand up, so the ref orders Grey to his feet. Temirov throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Temirov defending well as Grey loads up on a big left hand. Temirov is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Grey throws a nice looking combination but Temirov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A looping hook to the body misses from Grey. Temirov does a little dance to reset his feet. Temirov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Grey circles away. Grey swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Grey looks to throw the jab but Temirov is out of range. Grey circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grey keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruslan Temirov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Temirov throws a head kick but Grey moves out of range.
Temirov lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Grey throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Temirov sees it coming and avoids it easily. Temirov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Grey swivels and escapes. Grey is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Grey looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Temirov tries to clinch there but Grey circles away.
Temirov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Grey as he avoids it easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Temirov shoots in for a double leg but Grey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Temirov throws a predictable looking body shot
and Grey holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Grey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Grey dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Temirov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Grey. Grey connects with a nice looking jab.
Grey lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Grey keeps the fight on the outside. Ruslan Temirov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Temirov shoots in for a takedown but Grey shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Grey takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Grey throws a big shot that misses. Grey tries to bum rush Temirov with a series of wild strikes but Temirov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jake Grey seems to be getting the better of the standup. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grey throws a jab but it's blocked by Temirov. Grey slaps away a takedown attempt from Temirov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Temirov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ruslan Temirov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Temirov tries to clinch there but Grey circles away.
Grey wants to counter the offense by Temirov and move into the clinch position. Grey throws a big shot that misses. Temirov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Grey changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruslan Temirov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grey stuffs the takedown. Grey feints the counter takedown. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Temirov. Grey connects with a single shot there. A swing and a miss from Grey.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Temirov with a lazy takedown attempt and Grey cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Temirov walks into a stiff left hand from Grey. Grey loads up on a big right hand but Temirov slips the punch. Grey misses with a looping left. Grey lands with a nice combination. Temirov backs away looking to recover.
Temirov is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Temirov gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Grey gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
