Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David McCarthy (ranked 2524 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rasul Dolaev (ranked 25062 p4p, 0 weight class). McCarthy comes to the cage accompanied by Chamillionaire - Ridin' ft. Krayzie Bone. Dolaev has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
38 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David McCarthy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Rasul Dolaev! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCarthy closes the distance and clinches. Dolaev looks winded! McCarthy manages to break the clinch.
The fight moves into the clinch position. McCarthy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McCarthy throws a right hand that Dolaev ducks under and follows up with a left that Dolaev also avoids with ease. McCarthy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dolaev moves away. McCarthy lands with a nice combination. Dolaev backs away looking to recover. McCarthy lands a head kick that stumbles Dolaev and the fighters go to the mat.
Dolaev is rocked!
It looks like Rasul Dolaev has been cut. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McCarthy loads up on a big left hand. Dolaev felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - McCarthy looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Dolaev can't hide his disappointment, as McCarthy celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David McCarthy! In his post fight interview, David McCarthy started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
