Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcin Skrzek (ranked 4634 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Penn (ranked 4243 p4p, 0 weight class). Skrzek comes to the cage accompanied by Kękę - Presja. Marcin Skrzek could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ben Penn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marcin Skrzek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Penn! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Skrzek sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Skrzek doesn't manage to clinch there - Penn circles away.
Skrzek gets a clinch. Penn has picked Skrzek up - he's going for a ride! Penn dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Penn trying to pass the guard but Skrzek defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Penn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Penn is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Skrzek doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Penn. Penn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Skrzek does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Penn keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Let's hope that Penn has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Penn winds up and cracks Skrzek with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Penn stalling. It looks like Penn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Skrzek tries to clinch there but Penn circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Penn tries for a takedown but Skrzek sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Penn. Penn takes a little break here. Skrzek wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Penn decides to stand back up. Skrzek gets a clinch. Penn has Skrzek pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Penn pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Skrzek tumbling to the mat - Penn dives into Skrzek's guard. Penn controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skrzek avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Skrzek being controlled here, momentarily. Skrzek is working an open guard so Penn takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Skrzek tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Penn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Penn dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Penn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Penn stands and steps away. Skrzek gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. A slapping leg kick lands for Skrzek.
Penn should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Penn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Skrzek. Skrzek tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Penn drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Skrzek defends it well. The fight stays on the outside here - Skrzek looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A little jabbing left from Penn on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Penn closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Skrzek's guard. Skrzek is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Penn dives into side control.
Skrzek is looking to get back to his feet here but Penn is keeping cool and he's managed to take Skrzek's back. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Penn trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Skrzek doesn't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Skrzek is tapping out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ben Penn!
