Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Walcott (ranked 1203 p4p, 136 weight class) and Ameri Can (ranked 1352 p4p, 156 weight class). Can has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Walcott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ameri Can!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walcott throws a nice looking combination but Can bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Can fails to land with a series of punches.
Can moves out of range of the strikes.
Walcott misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Can throws a big shot that misses.
Walcott throws a body punch but Can moves out of range.
Can appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Walcott throws a shot from downtown. Can moves away and avoids it.
Walcott sizes up Can with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Walcott scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Can ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Walcott moves away.
Can missing with a left hand there. Walcott was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Can swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Can looks to land a body kick but Walcott moved away.
Walcott throws a sloppy head kick and Can moves out of range easily.
Walcott explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Can slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Can has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Walcott finds it's way round the side to connect with Can's head.

Walcott throws a leg kick which misses Can's front leg but catches the back leg as Can tries to avoid it.

Can has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Can sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Can loads up on a big right hand but Walcott slips the punch.
Walcott jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Can creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Walcott's defenses.

Walcott lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Can on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Can lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Walcott.
Walcott is working Can over against the cage.

Walcott tries to break the clinch but Can is controlling the position.

Walcott throws a looping overhand right but Can ducks down to avoid it.
Can scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Walcott doesn't seem bothered though.

Walcott is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Can cracks Walcott with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Walcott has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Can.
Walcott is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Walcott lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Can works the jab nicely.
Walcott uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Can.

Can scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Can lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Oh Walcott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Can moves forwards but Walcott connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Can walks into a left hand.
Walcott looks to score with a jab to the body but Can is just out of range.
Walcott seems to have got his legs back now.
Can uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Walcott.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Can throws a head kick but Walcott moves out of range.

A close second round but Ameri Can will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Can drops his hands momentarily and Walcott takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Can throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Walcott sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Walcott misses with a series of wild punches.
A little jabbing left from Can on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Walcott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Walcott gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Can is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
It looked like Walcott was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Can lands with a nice body punch.
Walcott dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Can blocks a head kick by Walcott.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Can! But no joy.
Walcott takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walcott jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Can walks away with a smile on his face. Walcott gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Walcott moves out of range of the leg kick from Can.
Can lands a jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Can looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Can takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Walcott tries to land a front kick but Can steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Can pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Walcott has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Walcott there as he acknowledges the shot.
Walcott fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Can manages to avoid it.
Can takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Walcott will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Can lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Can throws a leg kick but Walcott moved away.
Nice uppercut lands for Can. That snapped Walcott's head back.
Can is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Walcott.

Ameri Can comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
