Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Derek Vinyard (ranked 741 p4p, 38 weight class) and Tommy Walcott (ranked 1106 p4p, 74 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Walcott!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinyard lands the left hand.
Vinyard doesn't manage to clinch there - Walcott circles away.
Walcott slips a straight right by Vinyard.
Walcott wants to clinch up but Vinyard keeps it at a distance.
Walcott checks a leg kick.
Vinyard misses with a low kick as Walcott jumps back.

Walcott misses with a hook to the body
and Vinyard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Walcott fails to land with a series of punches.

Vinyard tries to keep at a distance but Walcott has taken the fight into the clinch.

Vinyard throws a looping overhand right but Walcott ducks down to avoid it.

That was a close round but I would say that Derek Vinyard will probably get the nod.

Vinyard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Walcott.
Walcott fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vinyard has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
