Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matteo Boretti (ranked 34 p4p, 5 weight class) and James Darren (ranked 133 p4p, 21 weight class). Boretti comes to the cage accompanied by Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the Moon. Darren has chosen Here's to the losers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Matteo Boretti! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, James Darren! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Darren walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Boretti paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Darren comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Boretti bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Darren's head backwards. Darren gets tackled into the cage by Boretti. Boretti maintains the clinch. Boretti lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Darren lands a nice elbow. Darren breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Boretti avoids the body shot from Darren.
Darren lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Darren blocks a head kick by Boretti.
Boretti wants to clinch. The fighters circling - Darren throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boretti lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Darren punishes Boretti's body with a nice straight punch. Boretti closes the distance and clinches. Darren lands an elbow inside. Darren comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Darren lands an elbow inside that Boretti shrugs off. Boretti misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Boretti digs a right hand underneath Darren's ribcage. Darren let out a lung full of air as it connected. Darren lands a nice elbow from the clinch. I was talking to Boretti's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A head punch on the inside from Boretti fails to land. Darren throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Boretti lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Darren lands an elbow just above Boretti 's eye. Boretti lands a nice uppercut. Darren blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Darren's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Darren tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Boretti's elbow. Boretti blocks an elbow strike from Darren.
That's two minutes gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Darren creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Darren misses with an elbow over the top. Boretti wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Darren has him pressed against the cage. Darren misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Darren breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Darren lands with a nice body punch. Boretti misses with a double jab
and Darren counters with a head kick that drops Boretti to the mat! Boretti scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! Darren takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A big left from Boretti misses. Darren misses the shot to the body. A chopping leg kick lands by Darren. Boretti pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Darren throws a sloppy head kick and Boretti moves out of range easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Darren. Darren takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Boretti misses with a double jab.
Boretti throws a shot from downtown. Darren moves away and avoids it. Darren displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Boretti throws out the jab. Darren shapes to counter with a head kick. Boretti pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boretti takes a shot right to the bread basket. Boretti tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Darren was well out of range. Poor timing from Boretti. Darren moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Darren is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Boretti rather than just go for the knockout. Darren throws a front kick aimed at Boretti's knee but Boretti avoids it well. Darren keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Darren appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boretti cracks Darren with a good jab. Boretti rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Darren counters with an outside leg kick.
Darren lands a big head kick that sends Boretti tumbling to the mat! Darren takes a step backwards and waves Boretti back to his feet - he wants the finish! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boretti throws a low kick but Darren avoids it. Darren looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Boretti throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Darren sees it coming and avoids it easily. Darren lands a leg kick that knocks Boretti off balance momentarily. A clash of legs there as Boretti blocks the low kick. Good leg kick by Darren there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boretti tries to work over Darren's front leg with a kick but Darren checks it. Darren digs a good hook to Boretti's body.
Boretti scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Darren dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Darren counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Boretti thinking. Darren will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Boretti counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Darren walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Boretti checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Boretti defending well as Darren loads up on a big left hand. Boretti connects with a single shot there. A jab from Boretti misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boretti tries to clinch up and Darren counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. James Darren seems to be getting the better of the standup. Darren avoids the head kick by Boretti.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boretti takes a swing at Darren's ribcage but misses. Darren looks like he wants to counter punch here. Darren fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Boretti tries to clinch up and Darren connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Boretti avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Boretti slips a jab from Darren. It looked like Boretti wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Boretti feints and then cracks Darren's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Darren down. The fighters circle momentarily. Darren darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. A punch combination from Boretti misses. Boretti takes a body punch but keeps moving. Boretti takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Darren motions for Boretti to come forward. Darren throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Darren misses with a head kick.
Darren moves into the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! With the fighters up against the cage, Darren throws an elbow but misses. Boretti throws a punch but it's blocked by Darren. Boretti lands a nice uppercut. Darren lands an elbow that stopped Boretti in his tracks for a moment. Darren goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Darren has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Boretti seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Darren can turn it around. Darren misses with an elbow over the top. Boretti can't find room to land a body shot as Darren controls the action.

Boretti tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Darren breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Darren lands a brutal head kick. Boretti looks out on his feet and Darren throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). James Darren! James Darren is the new middleweight champion! A very excited looking James Darren made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
