Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jarod Pilc (ranked 5456 p4p, 485 weight class) and Mark Sinclair (ranked 5765 p4p, 500 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jarod Pilc! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Sinclair! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sinclair attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Pilc fails with the takedown. Sinclair shoots for a takedown but Pilc saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Horrible takedown attempt by Sinclair or perhaps it was just good defense by Pilc, which made it look bad. Sinclair gets tackled into the cage by Pilc. Pilc maintains the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sinclair taking a breather. Pilc is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Pilc is trying to break the clinch but Sinclair is controlling him. Pilc prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jarod Pilc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Sinclair.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pilc is trying to push Sinclair away but Sinclair has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Sinclair pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sinclair throws a leg kick that is checked enabling Pilc to counter with a crisp jab. Sinclair works Pilc's body with a nice hook. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sinclair. Sinclair throws a one two combo.
Pilc misses the shot to the body. Sinclair shoots in for a takedown but Pilc shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Pilc throws a sloppy body shot
and Sinclair counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pilc stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pilc wants it to stay on the feet. Pilc was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Sinclair takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Pilc walks into a jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sinclair moves out of range as Pilc strikes. Pilc looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sinclair will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Pilc keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sinclair. A counter left hand to the body from Pilc misses its target. Sinclair throws a head kick but Pilc moves out of range.
Sinclair lands a jab-cross combination. Sinclair takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Sinclair looks winded! Sinclair looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Pilc quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sinclair circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sinclair fails with the takedown. Pilc was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Sinclair throws a head kick but Pilc moves out of range.
It looked like Pilc was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sinclair. The fight stays on the outside here - Pilc looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sinclair will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Pilc forces Sinclair back against the cage and clinches. Sinclair changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pilc fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Sinclair throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pilc's waist but Pilc gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sinclair off to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sinclair closes the distance and clinches. Pilc throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Pilc breaks the clinch.
Sinclair shoots in but no luck this time. Sinclair throws a head kick but Pilc moves out of range.
Sinclair's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Sinclair duly obliges. Sinclair avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sinclair changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Sinclair checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sinclair shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pilc defends it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mark Sinclair will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pilc wants to clinch. Sinclair looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pilc is fending him off so far but Sinclair persists. Nope, Pilc circles away and we're back to standing. Pilc appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Sinclair shoots in looking for a takedown. Pilc tries to sprawl out of it but Sinclair keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pilc manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pilc is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sinclair throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pilc counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Mark Sinclair has been cut. Pilc tries to close the distance and clinch but Sinclair swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sinclair pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sinclair instigates a clinch. Pilc gets underhooks to prevent Sinclair's takedown attempt.

Sinclair pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sinclair keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sinclair comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Sinclair tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sinclair takes a shot right to the bread basket. Sinclair darts in looking for a takedown but Pilc gets double underhooks and turns Sinclair into the cage. Pilc is looking to wear down Sinclair with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Sinclair is breathing heavily. Sinclair lands with a shot to the body. Pilc misses with a straight right.

Pilc throws a right and a left that both miss. Mark Sinclair seems to be getting the better of the standup. Sinclair throws a hook but Pilc blocks it. Sinclair avoids the body shot from Pilc.
Horrible takedown attempt by Pilc or perhaps it was just good defense by Sinclair, which made it look bad. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A clash of legs there as Pilc blocks the low kick. Sinclair slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Sinclair tries for a takedown but Pilc sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sinclair fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pilc, pushing him back against the cage. Pilc is trying to break the clinch but Sinclair has him pressed against the cage. Pilc jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sinclair walks away with a smile on his face. Pilc gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Mark Sinclair is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pilc throws a body shot but no joy. Sinclair feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pilc kicks Sinclair off and gets to his feet. Sinclair clinches up against the cage. Sinclair tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pilc avoids it. Pilc taking a breather. Pilc prevents a takedown attempt there.
Sinclair keeps control of Pilc as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Pilc tries to pull guard but Sinclair forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sinclair has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pilc uses from the top position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pilc gets to his feet. Sinclair looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Sinclair instigates a clinch. Sinclair is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Pilc gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Sinclair is trying to drag Pilc to the mat but Pilc just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Pilc decides to pull guard. Pilc keeping full guard, as Sinclair tries to pass. Sinclair wants to control from the top but Pilc keeps moving. Pilc wriggles free and stands up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jarod Pilc will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mark Sinclair's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Sinclair scores with a hook. Sinclair looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pilc is fending him off so far but Sinclair persists. Nope, Pilc circles away and we're back to standing. Pilc is looking for a counter combo. Sinclair forces Pilc back against the cage and clinches. Pilc pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sinclair has closed the distance and engaged Pilc in a clinch.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Sinclair is looking to take this one to the mat. Pilc is trying to break free. Sinclair takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pilc on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Pilc's face as he tries to break the clinch. Pilc is trying to break free. Pilc has had enough of the clinch but Sinclair keeps him there for the moment. Sinclair breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pilc keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pilc throws a sloppy head kick and Sinclair moves out of range easily. Pilc misses with a body shot.
Sinclair has managed to clinch.
Mark Sinclair seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Sinclair blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Pilc jumps guard but Sinclair stands there with Pilc around his waist. Pilc gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pilc can't break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pilc wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sinclair breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pilc swings for the body but Sinclair moves out of range.
Pilc avoids a kick to the body.
Sinclair throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pilc was covering up waiting for the punch and Sinclair finishes the takedown easily into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sinclair prevents Pilc from getting back to his feet. Pilc has control of Sinclair's left arm, preventing Sinclair from doing any damage. Sinclair wants to pass the guard but Pilc is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sinclair trying to control but Pilc is working from the bottom. Sinclair looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Pilc manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Pilc tries for a takedown. No joy.

Pilc tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sinclair smiles and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pilc blocks a low kick nicely. Sinclair shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Pilc counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sinclair thinking. Jab from Pilc. Sinclair looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sinclair throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pilc's waist but Pilc gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sinclair off to one side. A combination from Sinclair does no damage. Sinclair shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pilc pinned against the cage. Pilc gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pilc tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Sinclair manages to circle out of the way.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jarod Pilc. I think Pilc has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
