Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Glass Joe (ranked 1964 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krit Leekpai (ranked 21055 p4p, 589 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Glass Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Krit Leekpai!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leekpai displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Joe.
Joe with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Leekpai looks to land a left hand but Joe moved out of range nicely.
Joe takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Joe is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Leekpai's half guard.
Leekpai is trying to get back to full guard.
Leekpai works his way to full guard. Good work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leekpai is trying to keep Joe in close.
Leekpai wants to control but Joe passes easily into half guard.

Joe is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Leekpai sees it coming and defends easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Joe is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Joe seems to be looking for submissions.

Joe is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Leekpai is trying to get back to full guard.
Leekpai trying to control but Joe postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Joe wants to work for an arm triangle but Leekpai is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Leekpai wants to control but Joe is keeping busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Joe drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Leekpai dives on top into guard.

Joe tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Joe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Leekpai controls the pace.
Leekpai wants to control from the top but Joe keeps moving.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Leekpai's corner is telling him to maintain position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Glass Joe will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Joe darts in looking for a takedown but Leekpai gets double underhooks and turns Joe into the cage.
Leekpai jabs Joe right on the nose. Joe blinks but takes it well.

Leekpai tries to sprawl but Joe drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Leekpai tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Joe has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Leekpai is trying desperately to improve position.

Joe is standing up, even though he is in mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joe misses with an attempted mid kick.
Leekpai blocks a head kick by Joe.
Joe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leekpai was well out of range. Poor timing from Joe.
Good leg kick by Leekpai there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Leekpai thows a left - swing and a miss!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Joe checks a leg kick.
Leekpai looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Joe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Leekpai's waist but Leekpai gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Joe off to one side.
Leekpai scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Leekpai buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Good exchange - Leekpai coming out on top.
Leekpai pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Joe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Leekpai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Joe tries for a takedown but Leekpai sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glass Joe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leekpai misses with a body shot.
Joe throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Joe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Leekpai throws out the jab.
Leekpai lands a leg kick that knocks Joe off balance momentarily.
Joe walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A slow jab from Leekpai misses its intended target.
Leekpai clobbers Joe with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nice defenses there by Joe.

Joe shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Leekpai's guard.

Joe postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Leekpai is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Joe, into his guard.

Leekpai slips nicely into half guard.
Leekpai frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Leekpai looking to control but Joe is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Leekpai prevents Joe from getting the reversal.
Joe is working hard here to advance position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Leekpai is stalling here but it's allowed Joe to get half guard.
Well, if Leekpai is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Joe is not content to let Leekpai control the position.

Joe looking for submissions off his back.
Leekpai is keen to just control but Joe is a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Krit Leekpai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

so Joe counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Joe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Joe is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Leekpai has managed to free his arm - good work.

Joe is working for a submission of some sort.
Leekpai tries to roll over but Joe keeps him under control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Joe passes to full mount!

Leekpai is looking to get to half guard.
Joe with a couple of short strikes.
Leekpai is looking to get to half guard.

Joe working for a guillotine from mount but Leekpai is in no mood to give up.

Joe wants to finish this one by submission but Leekpai is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Joe.

Joe trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Joe looking to secure an arm triangle but Leekpai defends it well.
Leekpai is working to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
Glass Joe showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Joe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
