Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Mc Neil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, h joe! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mc Neil misses with a head kick.
Mc Neil has taken the fight to the clinch.
joe works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. joe drops back looking for a leg! Mc Neil is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mc Neil manages to kick joe off! joe jumps back into Mc Neil's guard. Mc Neil wants to stand up but joe is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. joe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and joe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. joe gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. joe gets a takedown into half guard. Mc Neil is looking to escape. joe seems to be working for a kimura but Mc Neil defends the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. joe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mc Neil is just riding it out for now. joe eventually gives up the hold. joe looks gassed! Mc Neil is looking to escape. Mc Neil tries to kick joe off in order to stand up. joe Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Mc Neil wants to get back to his feet but joe drags him back down. joe tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Mc Neil is trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. joe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mc Neil is trying to escape and get back to his feet. joe wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mc Neil, who protects the arm well. Mc Neil is pushing joe's head away, looking to escape. joe manages to hold on to the position though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mc Neil tries to close the distance and clinch but joe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mc Neil moves into the clinch successfully.
Mc Neil is looking to break free of the clinch but joe has double underhooks. Mc Neil's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. joe swats away the attempt to clinch by Mc Neil. joe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mc Neil swivels and escapes. Mc Neil throws a front kick that sends joe stumbling back into the cage. joe takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Mc Neil plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Adam Mc Neil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A head kick from Mc Neil lands but joe takes it in his stride. joe takes a kick to the side of the head. joe sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Mc Neil moves in looking to clinch but joe pushes him off. Mc Neil clinches up against the cage. Mc Neil breaks from the clinch.
Adam Mc Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mc Neil thuds his shin into the meat of joe's side. Mc Neil fakes the leg kick and cracks joe in the body. Mc Neil closes the distance and clinches. Mc Neil escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mc Neil tries to clinch but joe moves out of range. Mc Neil takes the fight into the clinch. Mc Neil breaks from the clinch.
Mc Neil clinches. Mc Neil pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Crunch! Mc Neil slams his shin into joe's torso. Mc Neil wants to clinch. A chopping leg kick lands by Mc Neil. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but h joe will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
joe walks forward, straight into a front kick from Mc Neil. joe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mc Neil as he avoids it easily. Mc Neil tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but joe paws at him with a jab and circles away. joe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Mc Neil wants to get back to his feet but joe passes into half guard.
Mc Neil tries to kick joe off but joe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. joe is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Mc Neil has managed to free his arm - good work. joe prevents Mc Neil from standing back up.
Mc Neil is looking to get back to is feet but joe passes into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. joe tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no joe has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mc Neil wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. joe working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. joe stands up. Mc Neil tries a head kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mc Neil closes the distance and clinches. joe fails to pull guard.
Mc Neil's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! joe crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mc Neil - the referee stops the clock and joe gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mc Neil. joe manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. joe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Adam Mc Neil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of h joe. Mc Neil's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A kick lands to the mid section there for Mc Neil.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mc Neil lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. A head kick from Mc Neil lands but joe takes it in his stride. Mc Neil lands with a slapping head kick. Mc Neil instigates a clinch. Mc Neil manages to break the clinch.

joe has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mc Neil. Mc Neil throws a nice head kick!
Mc Neil rushes joe and presses him up against the cage. Mc Neil breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mc Neil lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Mc Neil tries to close the distance and clinch up but joe swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mc Neil fails with an attempt to clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Adam Mc Neil will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
