Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charley Hanagan (ranked 223 p4p, 31 weight class) and Marky Mark (ranked 45 p4p, 8 weight class). Hanagan's entrance music is Guilty Until Proven Innocent. A fine choice. Mark has chosen Isä ei jätä as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charley Hanagan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marky Mark!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanagan slips a straight right by Mark.

Mark wants to control but Hanagan is keeping busy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hanagan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mark is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hanagan is nestled in close to Mark, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mark has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Mark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hanagan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hanagan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hanagan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hanagan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mark's guard.

Hanagan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mark knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mark manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Hanagan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've been hearing good reports from Hanagan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

It looks like Marky Mark has been cut.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Mark gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hanagan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hanagan wants to pass to mount but Mark is defending the position.

Hanagan goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mark has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hanagan but great work by Mark.

Mark is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hanagan is just riding it out for now. Mark eventually gives up the hold.

Hanagan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mark's guard.

Mark looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hanagan is one step ahead there.
Hanagan connects with a couple of short punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charley Hanagan dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Marky Mark's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Mark looks to land a combination but Hanagan avoids it well.
Marky Mark has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hanagan closes the distance and clinches.
Mark throws a head punch that misses.

Mark breaks from the clinch.
Hanagan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Charley Hanagan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hanagan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mark to score with a decent uppercut.
Mark tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Mark gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hanagan to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hanagan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mark takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Hanagan raining down shots from the mount!
Mark is still in real trouble! Can Hanagan finish him?


The cut above Marky Mark's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Hanagan postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Mark in real trouble here! The ref calls for Mark to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charley Hanagan!
A very excited looking Charley Hanagan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
