Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christophe Dupree (ranked 320 p4p, 42 weight class) and Leonid Martinyuk (ranked 328 p4p, 45 weight class). Leonid Martinyuk told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupree takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dupree throws a head kick that misses.
Martinyuk throws out a counter right but Dupree avoids it with no problem.
Dupree throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Martinyuk throws a sloppy head kick and Dupree moves out of range easily.
Dupree throws an overhand right that lands on Martinyuk's shoulder, as Martinyuk tries to avoid the shot.
Martinyuk blocks a head kick by Dupree.
Dupree throws a good cross that connects.
Dupree fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Martinyuk manages to avoid it.
Dupree throws a nice inside leg kick.
Martinyuk takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Martinyuk tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dupree thinks about countering with a body kick.
Dupree seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

As Dupree backs off Martinyuk throws a huge counter combo but Dupree manages to avoid it all.
Dupree throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Martinyuk swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Dupree wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

and Martinyuk counters with a body kick that stops Dupree in his tracks momentarily.
Dupree throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Leonid Martinyuk has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Martinyuk throws a series of punches but Dupree moves out of range.

and Dupree counters with a huge left! Martinyuk is in big trouble! He's backing up but Dupree isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Martinyuk from any more damage. A dominating finish by Dupree!
