Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Palaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palaver's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Pregador Luo - Bate Pesadao. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Peter Smith was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Palaver at a distance.
Smith lands a slapping body shot.
Smith connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Palaver momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith misses with the combination.

Smith clinches up with Palaver and pushes him back against the cage.

Smith breaks from the clinch.
Palaver misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Smith pushes Palaver up against the cage in a clinch.
Palaver has Smith pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Smith manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Palaver drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Smith gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Palaver. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Palaver is breathing heavily.
Palaver can't get the takedown.

Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smith lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Palaver falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
