Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andy Johnson (ranked 5495 p4p, 484 weight class) and Luke Holt (ranked 23756 p4p, 545 weight class). Holt has chosen Shotta flow as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Luke Holt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Luke Holt! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Holt finds it's way through Johnson's defenses. Johnson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Johnson rushes Holt and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Johnson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Johnson pulls Holt into guard.
Holt engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Holt stopping the sweep attempt from Johnson. Johnson pulls Holt in close to prevent any damage. Holt trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson working a defensive guard but Holt passes into half guard.
Johnson tries to get to full guard but Holt has control of the leg. Holt takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Holt is thwarting Johnson's attempts to control the position. Johnson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Johnson tries to kick Holt off but Holt keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Holt lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Johnson wants to get back to full guard. Holt wants to stand but Johnson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson is staying active underneath Holt, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Holt scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Johnson moves into full guard.
Holt prevents Johnson from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holt chips away with some ground and pound. Holt passes Johnson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Johnson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Holt with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like Holt is going to stand back up.
Holt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Johnson tries to get to full guard but Holt has control of the leg. Johnson has hold of Holt's hands but Holt slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position. Holt throwing shots but Johnson is blocking nicely. Johnson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Holt trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Holt throws a big right hand that misses. Holt with a nice head shot there. Holt trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. Johnson punching to the body, from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fighters circle momentarily. Holt darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Holt throws a right and a left that Johnson avoids nicely. Johnson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Holt is trying to pull guard but Johnson has him pressed against the cage. Johnson manages to break the clinch.
Johnson has his takedown stuffed and Holt counters with a nice right hand that sends Johnson toppling to the canvas! Johnson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Holt finish him?!
Johnson is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Holt dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Holt shoots in but no luck this time. Johnson appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Holt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johnson. Johnson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Holt throws a monster overhand right that drops Johnson! Holt follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luke Holt! Post fight, an emotional Luke Holt said 'That the best you got '.
