Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Canada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jaycen Solo!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Canada swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Solo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Canada sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Solo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Canada circles away.

Solo's coach down at UnderGround Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Solo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Canada avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Solo's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Solo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Canada swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Solo makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Solo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Canada works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Solo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Solo pushes Canada up against the cage in a clinch.

Canada escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Solo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Solo.
Solo tries for a takedown but Canada sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Solo goes for a double leg but Canada avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Canada continues to drive forward.
Canada comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Canada is looking to clinch but Solo is avoiding it.
Canada lunges at Solo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Solo's hand.
Solo keeps the fight on the outside.
Canada displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Solo.
Canada connects with a good right hand that stumbles Solo. Solo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Canada connects with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Canada gets in close and instigates a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Canada's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Despite the aggression on Solo's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Canada tries to clinch but Solo is having none of it.

Solo unleashes a big counter combination but Canada bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Solo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Canada connects with a crisp jab.

A nice side step and Solo releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Canada gets caught flat footed, as Solo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Solo wants to pass the guard but Canada is keeping the position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Solo lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Canada on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Canada tries to get out of the position.
Solo is in close to Canada's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Solo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Solo and the ref steps in to end the fight! Solo can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
