Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Mehoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Makebono Bowen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Mehoff could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Makebono Bowen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Mehoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Makebono Bowen!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowen tries a head kick but it misses.
Bowen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bowen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mehoff as he avoids it easily.
Bowen drops Mehoff with a beautiful combination! Mehoff stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bowen is looking for the KO!
Mehoff is rocked!
It looks like Jack Mehoff has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bowen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mehoff as he avoids it easily.
Bowen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jack Mehoff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Makebono Bowen.
Bowen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bowen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mehoff pinned against the cage. Mehoff gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bowen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mehoff was well out of range. Poor timing from Bowen.
Makebono Bowen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bowen throws a quick inside leg kick.
Bowen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mehoff swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bowen misses with a leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bowen.
Horrible takedown by Mehoff or perhaps it was just good defense by Bowen which made him look bad.

and Bowen counters with a thumping low kick.
Mehoff is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

and Mehoff counters with a single leg into guard. Bowen didn't expect that.
Bowen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bowen wants to get back to his feet but Mehoff is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Bowen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Mehoff trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mehoff is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bowen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mehoff is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bowen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mehoff's back instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bowen is trying to stick to Mehoff's back but Mehoff is turning into Bowen. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bowen's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mehoff.
Mehoff trying to control but Bowen is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bowen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mehoff drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bowen throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Bowen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mehoff escapes and throws Bowen's legs to the side, diving into side control!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mehoff has an Americana. Bowen didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mehoff is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mehoff hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jack Mehoff!
