The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones scores with a nice right hand.
Jones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Garth shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jones scores with a hook to the body. Garth takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Horrible takedown attempt by Garth or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones, which made it look bad.
Jones lands a lovely overhand right.
Garth shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Garth. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Garth shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Garth gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Garth backwards.
It looks like Jimmy Garth has been cut.

Garth prevents a body shot from Jones.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Jones.
Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Garth is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Jones cracks Garth with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Garth moves forwards but Jones connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Garth.
Garth is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jones misses with a looping left.
Jones scores with a jab. Garth acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Jones throws a shot to the body.
Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Garth takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Garth takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
David Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
