The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Masvidal catches Holmes right on the button with a cross.
Holmes shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Masvidal leaves Holmes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Masvidal connects with a nice looking jab.
Holmes displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Masvidal throws out the jab.
Holmes throws a quick inside leg kick.
Nate Masvidal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Masvidal. No joy for Holmes on that attempt.

Holmes shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Masvidal manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Holmes is fighting to break Masvidal's control of his arms but Masvidal is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Holmes moves forwards but Masvidal connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Holmes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Masvidal circles away.
Nate Masvidal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry Holmes.
Holmes has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Masvidal finds it's way round the side to connect with Holmes's head.

and Masvidal counters with a stiff right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Holmes shoots in for a takedown but Masvidal shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Masvidal is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Masvidal is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Holmes.
Masvidal thuds his right hand into Holmes's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Masvidal throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Holmes sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Masvidal cracks Holmes with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Holmes is rocked!
Holmes takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Holmes is still on wobbly legs! Can Masvidal finish him?
Masvidal lands with a straight right. Holmes didn't see that one coming.

Holmes looks winded!
Masvidal steps in with a hook that catches Holmes right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Masvidal follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Holmes looks absolutely devastated.
