And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Johnson !
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Soupdrinker closes the distance and clinches.
Soupdrinker content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Johnson tries to break free but Soupdrinker pushes him back against the cage.
Soupdrinker keeps control of Johnson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Soupdrinker looking to throw knees to the head but Johnson is blocking nicely.
Johnson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Soupdrinker is trying to drag Johnson to the mat but Johnson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Johnson tries a knee to the head but Soupdrinker blocks it.
Soupdrinker tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Johnson avoids it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson misses with a two punch combination.
Soupdrinker is looking to counter the offense by Johnson and move into the clinch.

Soupdrinker doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.
Soupdrinker fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Our sources have told us that Soupdrinker has been working on his elbows in the gym.

Johnson wants to break free but Soupdrinker has control.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Johnson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Johnson stands up and waves to Soupdrinker to follow him.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Soupdrinker as he jumps to the side.
Soupdrinker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Soupdrinker sets himself, and Johnson steps forward looking for the clinch! Soupdrinker avoids it this time.

Soupdrinker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson , pushing him back against the cage.
Soupdrinker is trying to pull guard but Johnson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Johnson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Soupdrinker keeps control of Johnson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Soupdrinker tries for a takedown. No joy.
Soupdrinker is breathing heavily.
Johnson 's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Soupdrinker has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Johnson after a bit of a struggle.

Soupdrinker jumps into guard, dragging Johnson to the mat.
Soupdrinker throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Johnson stands and steps away. Soupdrinker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Tootheater Soupdrinker will probably get the nod.

As Johnson tries to get set, Soupdrinker tries to push him back and clinch up but Johnson manages to avoid the attempt.

Johnson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Soupdrinker has him pressed against the cage.

Soupdrinker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Soupdrinker thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Soupdrinker throws his legs up looking for a submission but Johnson uses it to pass to side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Johnson stands up.
Johnson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Johnson tries to bum rush Soupdrinker with a series of wild strikes but Soupdrinker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Johnson gets a clinch.
Soupdrinker using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Johnson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Johnson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Soupdrinker tries to clinch up.
Johnson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Soupdrinker enables Johnson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Soupdrinker manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Johnson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bob Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
