The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petersson lands with a kick to the temple. Coffey shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Coffey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Petersson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Petersson seems a little lost for a moment, as Coffey dominates the positioning. Petersson is trying to control Coffey's posture but Coffey avoids it. Coffey tries to advance to mount but can't. Petersson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Coffey tries to move into full mount but can't pass Petersson's legs. Petersson tries to improve position but can't. Petersson tries to escape but Coffey is in control.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A head kick from Petersson lands but Coffey takes it in his stride. Petersson doesn't manage to clinch there - Coffey circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petersson tries to clinch but Coffey is having none of it. Petersson tries to keep at a distance but Coffey has taken the fight into the clinch. Coffey successfully pulls guard.
Petersson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Coffey manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Petersson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Petersson looks gassed! Petersson tries to hold on but Coffey postures up. Coffey looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Coffey working away from the top, dropping strikes. Coffey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Coffey has isolated one of Petersson's arms. Petersson looking to fight him off but Coffey twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
