The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Allens drops his hands momentarily and Anderson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Allens will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Good shot there by Anderson. Anderson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. The fighters circle momentarily. Anderson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Anderson scores with a nice right hand.
A jab lands there for Anderson. Anderson connects with a single shot there. Allens takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Anderson tries to avoid it but Allens manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Trevor Allens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Allens staying out of range there.

Anderson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Anderson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Allens on the side of the head. Allens avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Allens ducks under a wild hook from Anderson. Allens uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Anderson. Anderson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
