Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leon Quinones (ranked 2480 p4p, 230 weight class) and Thimothy Weenus (ranked 2707 p4p, 251 weight class). Thimothy Weenus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leon Quinones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Thimothy Weenus! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quinones takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Quinones gets the takedown into side control. The strikes coming from Quinones are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Weenus tries to bench press Quinones off him but Quinones keeps the position. Quinones working the ground and pound but Weenus is defending the strikes. Quinones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Weenus, who protects the arm well. Quinones throwing shots but missing, from side control. Quinones tries for a kimura but Weenus is defending well. Quinones is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Weenus has escaped the position, nice work there. Quinones works to advance to full mount. Weenus defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Quinones throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
That's one minute gone in the round. Weenus is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Quinones misses with a head shot. Quinones is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Weenus is surviving well by controlling Quinones's body position as best he can. Quinones is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Weenus to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Weenus shrugs it off. Weenus is looking to improve his position but Quinones isn't that keen on the idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Quinones looking for a guillotine from mount but Weenus is having none of it. Quinones has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Weenus can't escape the position.
Quinones is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Weenus has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Quinones thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quinones moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Weenus has worked his arm free - good work by Weenus!
Quinones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quinones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Quinones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Quinones is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Weenus is trying to escape and Quinones transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Weenus is forced to tap! Nice work there by Quinones! Very nice indeed!
