Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tan Zan (ranked 599 p4p, 73 weight class) and Mutt Zatsch (ranked 2301 p4p, 259 weight class). Tan Zan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mutt Zatsch's chin.

16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tan Zan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mutt Zatsch! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zatsch doesn't succeed with the takedown and Zan counters with a lovely straight right hand! Zan scores with a nice right hand.
Zatsch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zan defends it nicely. Zatsch drives through with a takedown into guard. Zatsch throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Zatsch looking to pass the guard. Zatsch trying to control the position from guard on top but Zan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zatsch on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zatsch is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Zatsch pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zan is keeping the position for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Zatsch shoots for a takedown but Zan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tan Zan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mutt Zatsch. Zan misses with a wild body shot. Zan takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Zatsch closes the distance and clinches up with Zan, looking for a takedown. Zatsch pushes Zan against the cage but Zan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Zatsch gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Zan to counter with a crisp jab.

Tan Zan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zatsch is defended easily by Zan. Zatsch shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zan pinned against the cage. Zan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've been told by Zan's head coaches at The Foundry that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Zan dips to his left and cracks Zatsch with an uppercut! Zatsch with a poor takedown and Zan counters with a nice uppercut. Zatsch dives in for a single leg takedown but Zan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Zan scores with a body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zatsch. Zatsch shoots for a takedown but Zan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Zatsch throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zan's waist but Zan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zatsch off to one side. Zan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Zan throws a body punch but Zatsch moves out of range. Zatsch shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zan sprawls well. Zan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zatsch gets slowly back to his feet. Zatsch tries for a takedown but Zan circles away easily and Zan counters with a nice uppercut. Zatsch shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zan as he avoids it easily. Zatsch shoots in for a double leg but Zan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Zatsch takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Zatsch shoots for a double leg takedown but Zan sprawls well. He's pushed Zatsch's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Zatsch seems to have recovered his senses. Zatsch dives in for a single leg takedown but Zan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Zatsch slips a jab from Zan. Zan is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Zatsch shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zan sprawls well. Zan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zatsch gets slowly back to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zan has Zatsch up against the cage in a clinch.

Our spies down at at Team Alpha Midget inform us that Zatsch has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Zatsch not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Zatsch is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Zan looking to pass the guard. Zatsch is looking for a triangle but Zan pushes his legs off easily.

Zatsch shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Zan counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Zan throws a lazy right hand but Zatsch sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Zan looks to throw the jab but Zatsch is out of range. Zan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zatsch sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Zatsch keeps the fight on the outside. Mutt Zatsch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zatsch avoids the body shot from Zan.

Zatsch uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zan. Zan throws a body punch but Zatsch moves out of range. Zatsch now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Zan fails with an attempt to clinch.

Zatsch jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zan walks away with a smile on his face. Zatsch gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Zan takes a swing at Zatsch's ribcage but misses. Zan is looking to wear down Zatsch with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Zan lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Zan moves into range and connects with a jab. Zan pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Zatsch has a takedown stuffed. The fighters circle momentarily. Zan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Zan clinches with his opponent.
Mutt Zatsch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zan lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Zatsch or not. A nice left hand lands by Zan.
Zan lands a hook that snaps the head of Zatsch backwards. Zan dips a shoulder and cracks Zatsch with a mighty uppercut! Zatsch falls back against the cage and Zan unloads with a barrage of strikes! Zatsch is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Zan screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tan Zan! During a confident post fight interview, Tan Zan thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
