The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
smooth looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
smooth looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but smooth persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones tries to clinch but smooth is having none of it.

smooth throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing smooth off to one side.
Jason Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of ben smooth.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
smooth closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. smooth pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
